Boondocker’s Timing chain tensioner is a ratcheting style tensioner taking up any slack that is in your timing chain. The stock tensioner is driven hydraulically and during start there is not efficient oil pressure making the chain loose, causing a bad rattle and may even jump timing. Our tensioner prevents this from happening by applying a constant spring pressure and also has a ratcheting design to prevent any backwards motion.
