For the ultimate in performance and value, our line of Machined OEM heads for the Polaris AXYS 850 (Patriot) are the answer to the highest performance as well as pump-gas operation! The Idaho™, purpose built for pump gas, and The Colorado™ which has been optimized for high-octane, high boost.

Both heads require you to send in your stock/OEM head for custom machining. Not only do we machine our proven dome-technology (the same as the billet options), but we also refurbish/recondition them to meet our strict quality benchmarks.

Summary

THE IDAHO™: For BoonDocker turbocharged Polaris Patriot owners, The Idaho head from BoonDocker is the solution to pump gas performance among all aftermarket turbo kits because we’ve strategically engineered a combustion chamber that fully leverages the potential power of the turbocharger kit, at all RPM’s and riding conditions, provides more predictability and control of tuning, while incorporating a ruggedized design and bill-of-materials, specific to the higher demands of a turbocharged engine.

THE COLORADO: For BoonDocker turbocharged Polaris Patriot owners looking for the ultimate in high-octane power delivery, The Colorado™ head from BoonDocker provides both increased performance and strength over the stock head because The Colorado’s™ combustion chamber has been optimized for the demands of high-boost, high-octane, while providing additional horsepower and control and predicitbility of tuning, over the stock head.

NOTE: The Colorado head also has an application for pump-gas above 8,500 feet. Read more in the FAQ's

    Stats and Specs
    • Bolt-through, bonded design: promotes uniform performance, and prevents dome-walk or head-movement. A single piece of billet aluminum spans both cylinders for maximum precision and performance.
    • Turbo-tough: Billet heads have been specifically designed and reinforced for maximum durability and longevity
    • Maximized cooling efficiency: We’ve engineered industry-leading cooling technology and flow. This head is the premiere choice for turbo-owners.
    • Optimized for turbo performance: purpose-specific engineering of the combustion chamber leverages the turbocharger to create pump-gas performance, at every RPM, that is ON-PAR with previous 50/50 performance.
    • Optimized for pump gas: The Idaho™ has been specifically calibrated using 91-octane, with up to 10% ethanol. This fuel is readily available for our customers, and gets BoonDocker back to our mission of pull-and-go, pump gas power!

        Frequently Asked Questions

Will I get "MY" head back?

No, there is no way for us to guarantee that you'll get your head back. However, our machined OEM heads go out with stringent quality control specificiations as well as a refurbishing process.

How long of a turnaround time can I expect?

Generally, we can complete the machine process as well as the refurbishing and QC on an OEM head within 10 business days of receiving your core.

Can I pay a core fee and have a machined OEM head sent out ASAP?
